Therapy and Psychological Testing for Children, Teens, and Young Adults
Helping families better understand emotional, attention, and learning challenges in Charlotte, North Carolina
As a parent, it can be painful to watch your child or teenager struggle—whether with overwhelming emotions, anxiety, school challenges, or behaviors that feel difficult to manage. You want to help, but it can be hard to know where to start.
Sometimes families are looking for therapy and emotional support. Other times, they may be wondering whether attention, learning, or academic challenges could be contributing to their child’s difficulties.
I provide therapy and comprehensive testing for children, teens and young adults including evaluations for ADHD, learning differences, such as dyslexia, and other challenges that can affect school performance and emotional well-being. I help families gain clarity and practical strategies for supporting emotional well-being, learning, and long-term growth.
Using Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Family Based Treatment (FBT) and other evidence-based approaches, I work collaboratively with families to create meaningful, lasting change. My approach is warm, direct, and interactive, focused on helping both teens and parents feel more equipped and connected.

A Thoughtful, Individualized Approach

Evaluations go beyond test results to provide, clear, meaningful insights and practical recommendations.
Therapy focuses on building real-life skills that support lasting change.
Many families are unsure whether their concerns are best addressed through therapy, psychological testing, or a combination of both.
If your child is struggling emotionally, therapy may provide support and coping strategies. If there are concerns about attention, learning, or academic performance, a psychological or educational evaluation can help clarify how your child learns and what supports may be helpful.
A brief consultation can help discuss your concerns and determine the most helpful place to begin.
