Supporting Growth, Balance, and Emotional Well-Being
The transition into young adulthood can be exciting, but it can also bring new pressures and uncertainty. College, work, relationships, and increased independence often come with emotional and practical challenges.
Many young adults find themselves navigating anxiety, stress, identity questions, or changes in relationships while trying to figure out their path forward.
Therapy can provide a supportive space to slow down, reflect, and develop the tools needed to manage these challenges with greater confidence and clarity.
I work with young adults who are seeking greater emotional balance, stronger coping skills, and a deeper understanding of themselves.
Young adults often seek therapy for concerns such as:
• Anxiety and excessive worry
• Stress related to school, work, or future decisions
• Depression or loss of motivation
• Perfectionism and self-criticism
• Relationship challenges
• Difficulty managing emotions or stress
• Body image concerns or eating disorders
• Adjusting to college or new life transitions
Many young adults come to therapy feeling overwhelmed by expectations or unsure how to manage the pressures they are facing.
Therapy provides a supportive and collaborative space where young adults can explore their experiences while developing practical skills for navigating life’s challenges.
Through therapy, clients can learn to:
• Understand and manage strong emotions
• Develop healthier coping strategies for stress and anxiety
• Build confidence and self-awareness
• Improve communication and relationships
• Create balance between responsibilities and well-being
• Clarify personal goals and values
Over time, therapy can help young adults feel more grounded and confident in their ability to navigate important life decisions.
My approach is warm, collaborative, and goal-oriented. I work with clients to better understand the patterns that may be contributing to emotional distress while also developing practical strategies for change.
I draw from several evidence-based approaches, including:
Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) – helping clients develop skills for emotional regulation and distress tolerance
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) – identifying and shifting patterns of thinking and behavior that contribute to anxiety and depression
Family-Based Treatment (FBT) when appropriate for eating disorder recovery
Therapy is always tailored to the individual, focusing on each client’s unique goals, strengths, and experiences.
Young adulthood often involves significant transitions — moving away from home, managing academic or career expectations, and forming new relationships.
Therapy can provide guidance and support during these transitions, helping young adults develop the emotional skills and confidence needed to navigate this stage of life.
